Making Sweet Music

Our Afterschool kids performed a music recital here for their parents last night.  They showed off the wonderful progress they’ve made throughout the school year with their weekly dulcimer lessons and weekly singing lessons.

And they have a lot to brag about!  It’s a talented bunch of kids!

Both weekly tutors are provided by a generous grant from the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences.  We appreciated the presence of Lisa Green and Lewis Ferguson of  the Clay Center at our recital.

Also adding to the richness of the week was a seder meal that the Afterschool kids carried out on Tuesday.  The activity was part of the kids’ exploration of Israel by learning  that nation’s history, culture, and religion.

  1. Wonderful that the children are learning about Isreal. It is so small and worth visiting. If we can instill the love of other cultures in children, perhaps we can understand and love one another in reality! Congrats to all.
