Baby Safety Shower

A Baby Safety Shower is an event that is held periodically at different area locations.  This free event for new parents is sponsored by Partners in Prevention, a collaboration of several local agencies which includes ABLE Families.

At a baby safety shower, new parents learn about important ways to keep their infants safe and healthy, and they receive some gifts to help them do that.  The most recent baby safety shower was held today in Delbarton, WV.

Parents who attended heard from local experts who made presentations on car safety seats, protecting kids from predators, and the importance of and ways for parents to bond emotionally with their infants. They were also treated to lunch, played some fun games, and received some very cool merchandise that will be very helpful in their role as new parents.
